This child's problem was caught in time, but this doc really doesn't care about you.
EXTREMELY long waiting time. And then once you have waited over an hour will only address one issue....and that is even if you have been a patient for years. What???? My son was there for re-check on broken toe and asked about a forearm issue that he been seen for previously. The doctor said he had to make another appointment to come back for that. This after the toe issue took less than 5 minutes. Really?? Don't waste your time waiting.
Doctor Rieger and his nursing staff are amazing. My daughter has been to the Cedar Knolls office several times. Dr. Rieger always makes my daughter feel comfortable and has a great bedside manner. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, funny and he is worth the wait.
"Yes, we had him in there twice and he diagnosed it as a basic knee problem he'd grow out of, ended up as a very serious hip issue requiring a screw to stabilize. If untreated it could have led to a total hip replacement if the bone had slipped again..... we ended up at COSMC."
Yes their waiting room can be amazingly crowded but doctors and staff are awesome based on multiple experiences with my children
Office is overflowing and wait times unacceptable every day all the time. Dr. Reiger has no regard for your time. One day a friend (the very one who referred me) booked his earliest appointment time of 8:30. At 9:15 he arrived with wet hair smelling fresh out of the shower. He runs late because he does t care to run on time. More importantly he completely misdiagnosed my sons teammate , here is what his father to,d me:
Wait times may be long, but Dr. Rieger is worth the wait. He is a great surgeon and we had great results with scoliosis surgery; no complications and a smooth recovery. He is great with kids and is also a good advocate for his patients. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon.
